Lisa’s Fiber Art

Lisa is based in Portland, OR and creates fiber art inspired by nature. Lisa uses various techniques, such as crochet, weaving, and needle felting, to create fiber pieces with layers and depth. The repetitive motions of these techniques become meditative and help her stay grounded in her work, mirroring the same sense of presence she experiences in nature. By using natural fibers in neutral palettes, Lisa's art pieces emanate warmth, grounding, and kindness, just like her favorite moments in nature.

Meet Lisa, Portland Based Fiber Artist

So what is fiber art in the first place? It’s using any technique based in fibers and textiles (like weaving, crochet, and felting) to make art! Lis makes fiber art inspired by nature, specifically the repetitive patterns mushrooms, lichen, and moss make as they grow across the landscape. Her pieces have been showcased in numerous galleries, events, and publications, including Wovenutopia magazine. She is definitely a fiber artist you need to know! Lisa began her artistic journey in Washington, D.C., and has since moved to Portland, OR, where she is eager to continue building her creative practice.
